Over 1,000 Realtors, including a powerhouse contingent from Central Florida, swarmed the capital for the Great American Realtor Days. This wasn't just a casual visit but a concerted effort to amplify our voices on crucial issues affecting the real estate industry and the communities we serve.
We expressed concern over the escalating property insurance rates in Florida, which threaten the affordability of homeownership.
Affordable housing for our firefighters, teachers, and veterans is not a luxury–it's a necessity. We rallied for expanded funding to help more heroes achieve the dream of homeownership.
Having already made a positive impact, this vital initiative was deemed essential for further expansion to benefit more deserving individuals who contribute significantly to our communities.
We championed fairer business rent tax policies to empower small businesses. This advocacy aims to create an environment conducive to the growth and sustainability of small enterprises.
We highlighted the need for more robust condominium reforms, particularly in the aftermath of recent tragedies, to ensure the safety of residents.
This unified advocacy aimed to bring about measurable improvements in the real estate industry, but most of all, we advocated for policies that prioritize the well-being of everyday Floridians.
Legislators listened to our concerns, and we gained vital momentum toward positive change. This is just the beginning!
Thank you to all ORRA members who joined this important conversation.
