Florida Realtors® is advocating at the state Capitol for policies that protect REALTORS®, property owners, and communities statewide. Key priorities for the 2026 Legislative Session include:
- Support the Hometown Heroes Housing Program – Expand funding to help essential workers afford homes in their communities.
- Expand Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) – Pass SB 48 to increase affordable housing through small, secondary homes.
- Lessen the Tax Burden on Homeowners – Support measures that reduce property taxes without limiting essential local services.
- Preserve the Live Local Act – Maintain successful attainable workforce housing strategies.
- Fund My Safe Florida Home & Condo Programs – Continue helping Floridians harden homes and reduce insurance costs.
- Protect Water Quality – Invest in Everglades restoration, springs protection, and coastal resilience.
- Monitor Property Insurance Reforms – Ensure recent reforms lower costs and stabilize the market.
- Uphold Condominium Safety & Affordability – Balance safety standards with realistic affordability.
- Protect Private Property Rights – Defend fair and consistent regulations for property owners.
