Recently, ORRA learned about two safety issues all members should know about:
Alert 1:
A male calls female real estate agents stating needs an agent to show him properties. He is adamant about meeting in person first. However, his details didn't add up, and he was uncooperative in providing necessary information. This man then proceeded to text and call at all hours of the night. He has contacted several female agents in the Central Florida area.
Alert 2:
A brokerage alerted area associations about a frightening text/email situation that their agents started to receive, which may be designed to extort money or data. With this new danger, the person is sending highly threatening messages that will stop in exchange for the agent’s “cooperation.”
