The Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association (ORRA) recently triumphed at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) DC Legislative Days, returning with a renewed sense of pride and accomplishment and a wealth of valuable knowledge. The event, held in the heart of the nation’s capital, provided a dynamic platform for ORRA members to engage with critical industry issues, connect with influential figures, and celebrate their achievements.
The conference was a whirlwind of activity, featuring a series of informative panels tackling pressing topics like fair housing and attainable housing.
These discussions offered crucial insights for our members and association staff, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to navigate the ever-evolving real estate landscape.
The knowledge gained from these panels will undoubtedly prove invaluable as ORRA members continue to serve residential and commercial property buyers and sellers in every zip code.
The event allowed ORRA members to meet with Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Rick Scott, and Congressman Cory Mills, giving them the opportunity to advocate for REALTOR® interests and emphasize the importance of supporting commercial real estate investment, small businesses, and the vital Affordable Housing Credit program.
Beyond legislative advocacy, ORRA celebrated its RPAC Hall of Fame inductees at an incredible riverside dinner hosted at the Wharf in DC. This event recognized the outstanding contributions of our members, including five recent inductees, Lisa Hill, Dan Lopez, Inga Bateman, Alexis Lok, and Chere Roane.
They have each invested a lifetime total of at least $25,000 in RPAC. Their investments have significantly shaped real estate policy at the local and national levels, ensuring a strong foundation for success. Their achievements should inspire and motivate all our members.
The induction was particularly special as these individuals joined a distinguished group of current ORRA Hall of Fame members. The celebration, attended by representatives from the Brazilian REALTORS®, past ORRA presidents, ORRA Board of Directors members, and the Sacramento REALTOR® Association CEO, served as a testament to the unity and dedication within our industry.
The commitment of these inductees to RPAC sets a shining example for all our members, underscoring the importance of advocacy and the significant role each member plays in shaping the future of the real estate industry.
Overall, ORRA’s participation in NAR’s DC Legislative Days proved to be a resounding success. Our members gained valuable knowledge, championed the interests of REALTORS®, and celebrated the achievements of their peers.
