New Broker Application Process

New Brokers or Established Non-REALTOR® Brokers (Non-ORRA Members)

Your firm must first be registered with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) before you can apply for membership as the company's broker, if:

  • You are the new principal broker (broker of record)
  • You are new to the REALTOR® associations
  • Your firm is an established or a newly formed real estate brokerage and you are not currently a member of ORRA

ORRA recommends that new brokers review the Responsibilities for the Designated REALTOR® before proceeding with the membership process so that you fully understand your responsibilities.

New Member Orientation

To complete the membership process, you are required to take the Orientation Code of Ethics course. You may elect to take the online version or attend a live class at ORRA. (If you opt to take the online version, you will be responsible for submitting your Code of Ethics Course Completion Certificate to ORRA.)
