Blame for nationwide sales drop placed on financing constraints

Existing-home sales nationwide fell in May to 15.3 percent below sales recorded in May 2010, when closings were surging in order to beat the deadline for the homebuyer tax credit. And according to the National Association of REALTORS®, financing problems and temporary factors weighed the market down.
