The Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) have rolled out an online licensing feature for licensed real estate professionals. Real estate licensees can now self-print their license directly from their e-mail or DBPR account once it has been issued.

“Instead of making Florida’s real estate licensees wait seven to 10 days for their license to arrive by mail, DBPR now enables them to print their own license when it’s most convenient for them,” says DBPR Secretary Ken Lawson. “We are constantly looking for ways to help our licensees, and making it easier for Florida’s real estate professionals to obtain their license ensures they are able to start earning an income for their families sooner.”

Real estate applicants who have successfully passed the state’s licensing examination can now print their license through their secure account with DBPR. In addition to new licensees, this process also enables existing licensees to renew online and print their license at their convenience. Prior to this licensing feature, real estate applicants had to wait seven to 10 days for their license to arrive by mail.

DBPR has put together an informational video outlining the new licensing process for real estate licensees. To view the video, visit
