We need you! ORRA issues call for 2019 committee volunteers

Ready to make an impact on the future of your association and your profession? Then consider sharing your time, talents, and expertise as a volunteer on an ORRA committee!

ORRA is seeking members to fill openings on our 2019 committees, councils, and forums. To apply, complete the online request form. Requests received after the initial deadline of October 31, 2018 will be kept on file for opportunities throughout the year.

Affordable Housing Committee - Reviews and informs the members of affordable housing incentives that may be available and supports the development of a wide range of affordable housing choices.

Awards Committee - Organizes, plans, and implements the association's yearly awards programs.

Budget & Finance Committee - Provides oversight of financial and budgetary aspects of the association’s operations.

Bylaws & Policy Committee - Reviews association governing documents to ensure they remain current to Florida Realtors® and National Association of REALTORS® rules.

Communications Committee - Oversees the communications efforts of the association, including internal and external messages.

Community Relations Committee - Encourages member participation in community projects, organizes community activities and events, and provides additional service opportunities.

Governmental Affairs Committee - Tracks legislation and regulations at local, state, and national levels that affect the real estate industry, participates in public meetings and communicates with governmental officials. Handles RPAC fundraising through RPAC subcommittee. Members of the Governmental Affairs Committee are required to be "fair share" ($25) RPAC contributors.

Grievance Committee - Receives ethics complaints and arbitration requests and determines whether or not hearings are warranted. (Mandatory training date to be determined.)

Investment Committee - Bears responsibility for the association’s activities related to investing and asset allocation.

Market Diversity Committee - Develops and recommends policies promoting equal opportunity in housing and diversity within the real estate industry, identifies the concerns and needs of minority members, and develops actions to address those needs.

Member Services Committee - Provides guidance regarding membership policies, represents the needs of the general membership, and addresses development issues. Also organizes and participates in community events and activities for members to be involved in their communities.

MLS Committee - Develops and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors concerning issues and policies related to the operation of MFRMLS.

Professional Standards Committee - Conducts hearings on alleged unethical conduct by members or in arbitration of business disputes. (Mandatory training date to be determined.) Prerequisite: Minimum of three years' service on Grievance Committee.


Commercial Council - Plans continuing education and networking forums to enhance REALTOR® success in commercial business.

Global Real Estate Council of Orlando - Plans council programs and events to increase members' international real estate transactions.

Independent Broker Council - Coordinates forum activities, including gathering broker input on industry issues and planning events.

Young Professionals Network - Develops programs and events to help young real estate professionals excel by providing tools and support via mentors, networking, and community service.


Affiliate Forum - Brings Affiliate members together to develop programs and opportunities that foster REALTOR®-Affiliate networking opportunities.

Professional Development Forum - Seeks to improve REALTOR® professionalism and productivity via educational programming suitable for all segments of the membership.
