This course will help you improve your ability to assist veterans in finding and purchasing a home by helping you to understand:

  • VA loan requirements
  • Automated systems of the VA Loan Guaranty program
  • VA Home Loan Entitlement
  • How Veterans obtain the Certificate of Eligibility
  • How the entitlement affects the loan amount
  • Property value establishment and seller concessions
Your VA instructor will also help you understand:
  • Income and credit requirements of a VA loan
  • VA repair requirements and the repair waiver process
  • Occupancy requirements
  • Allowable fees and charges
  • VA assumptions
  • Compromise sales

Ms. Bernheim works for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Loan Center in St. Petersburg, Florida which is responsible for VA Loan Guaranty operations throughout Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In order to receive "CE" credits for any continuing education class(es), attendees must:
  • Be physically present for the entire program from beginning to end;
  • Sign any/all morning or afternoon attendance sheets; and
  • Refrain from using cell phones and laptops, except during designated break times.

Registration fees shown are for ORRA members who pre-register. Registration for non-ORRA members (members of other associations) is an additional fee of $15 (unless otherwise noted). On-site registrations will incur a fee of $15 in addition to the applicable registration fee.
