City of Longwood Sign Ordinance

ARTICLE VI, Ordinance No. 02-1599 VI- 25
May 6, 2002 Amended by Ordinance 05-1746

All off-site directional signs shall require the approval by the Administrator, for the following guideline and requirements:

*Off-site directional signs may be permitted in all land use districts.

*The maximum copy area of an off-site directional sign is six (6) square feet. Any applicant requesting a sign large than allowed shall provide acceptable justification for signs and their size.

*The maximum height of an off-site directional sign shall be seven (7) feet.

*An off-site directional sign shall be located only in the locations approved, otherwise it shall be considered an illegal sign.

*An off-site directional sign are to be set back at least five (5) feet from any right-of-way line. Any applicant requesting a sign location other than allowed shall provide acceptable justification for sign location.

*Only one (1) off-site directional sign may be allowed or permitted per parcel with written permission from the property owner.
