Ask ORRA - Election Candidates
Saturday, May 21, 2016
Question: How do I become a candidate for an ORRA elected leadership position?
Answer: Candidates who are interested in running for an ORRA elected leadership candidate position first submit a consent-to-serve form, now available. Questions and checkboxes on this form are used to ensure that candidates meet the minimum required qualifications for each position.
Candidates who meet the qualification criteria next attend a private interview with the seven-member ORRA Qualifications Committee. The committee makes certain that candidates understand the responsibilities and obligations that go along with an elected leadership position, and clarifies any questions regarding a candidate’s qualifications.
All members who meet the required qualifications are then eligible to be placed on the election ballot. The ORRA Qualifications Committee does not make voting recommendations.
