Ask ORRA - Agent Transfer Timing

Question: How long does it take for ORRA to transfer an agent to a new office?

Answer: The process of transferring an agent to a new brokerage is reliant on actions taken both the agent’s new broker and the Department of Business and Professional Regulations.

Before an agent can be affiliated with a new broker in ORRA’s records, the new broker must first contact DBPR to activate the agent’s license under their own license, then wait for the activation to be verifiable on the DBPR website.

Once the new license activation is confirmed, the broker must forward that confirmation to ORRA. When ORRA receives a DBPR confirmation from a broker, it takes approximately 24 to 48 business hours for an agent’s record to reflect the new brokerage affiliation.
