Membership vote approves ORRA Bylaws changes
Tuesday, December 20, 2011
Members of the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association have voted in favor of changes to the ORRA Bylaws that address the implementation of an orientation requirement for new brokers, and a name change for the association.
The membership voted during the ORRA Holiday Open House on Wednesday, December 14.
ORRA's new broker members are now required to attend a broker-only orientation, which will be offered monthly at ORRA and worth three CE credits. Current brokers are also welcome to attend the orientation; the fee for current brokers will be $59.
The new-broker orientation schedule for the upcoming months is: February 21; March 20; April 10; and May 8. They will be listed as a class named "Brokerage Management" on the ORRA Calendar, and registration will be available soon.
Association Name Change
ORRA is pursuing a formal change to its name, from the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association to Central Florida REALTORS®. Now approved by the ORRA membership, the measure moves to the National Association of REALTORS® for consideration.
