Verizon + iPhone + Supra = eKEY
Monday, February 21, 2011
Now that Verizon has added the iPhone to its network, the door is open for Verizon customers to use eKEY on their iPhones. The Verizon iPhone utilizes the same adapter, eKEY application, and accompanying basic service that Supra offers for AT&T iPhone customers.
Verizon iPhone customers can:
- Use the iPhone as a lockbox key;
- Program lockboxes, change shackle codes, and manage lockbox inventory; and
- Link directly to SupraWEB from the iPhone.
The eKEY for iPhone app requires the use of an adapter, which adds infrared. This small accessory attaches to a keychain when not in use and does not require charging or batteries (no cradling or extra charging required). Adapters are available in the ORRA store for $65 plus tax, but are going fast and may be placed on back order. Please contact the ORRA Membership Department at 407.253.3580 x2 for availability before making the trip.
How to get the eKEY iPhone app
The Supra eKEY application for iPhones can be self installed by those who already have eKEY service, but users must first call ORRA for an authorization code. Users are also welcome to have an ORRA employee perform the installation. Please call the ORRA Membership Department at 407.253.3580 x2 for the authorization code or to make an appointment.
If you currently have ActiveKEY service (or do not have any type of Supra service) and would like to upgrade to the eKEY service, you may need to attend a required Supra class. Please call the ORRA Membership Department at 407.253.3580 x2 for more information.
