ORRA’s screening for Orange County School Board candidates was held this year as part of a day-long event in conjunction with Greater Orlando Builders Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, Business Force, and the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association. Candidates interviewed before representatives from all associations at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in downtown Orlando, but each association selected its own candidates to support.

RPAC Funding

RPAC funds support REALTOR-friendly political candidates and real-estate issues on the national, state, and local levels.

Locally, RPAC’s attention in 2013 was focused on issues such as the City of Casselberry’s registration of vacant commercial properties and the City of Winter Park’s historic preservation ordinance.

In 2014, RPAC’s local focus has been on the Seminole County sales tax referendum and on the Orange County School Board sales tax renewal referendum (for more information visit

ORRA is proud to recommend REALTOR® Alvin Moore, Morehouse Realty, Inc., for election to Orange County Commission District 2. As a real estate broker and active member of ORRA, Moore is particularly informed and sensitive to real estate issues.

Moore currently serves on the ORRA Governmental Affairs Committee and is a Capital Club level RPAC donor. In addition, Moore is currently the vice-mayor of the Town of Eatonville and has served on the Eatonville Town Council since 2008.
