There's more to real estate than location, location, location. Now it's all about location, location, location, PLUS transportation.
This is according to the ORRA leadership who today represented REALTORS® and the real estate industry by addressing transportation professionals and supporters at a sold-out event.
"Central Florida Regional Leadership Forum – Advancing Our Regional Transportation Agenda” was sponsored by ORRA and featured a morning of presentations by the organizations charged with addressing our area's long-term transportation issues. ORRA Chairman Zola Szerencses, RE/MAX 200 Realty, was on hand to represent the REALTOR® point of view.
"All the research shows that today's homebuyers consider ease of transportation a primary when looking for a home, in addition to the traditional criteria such as good schools," Szerencses explained to the audience. "Buyers are very keen on quality-of-life issues. They want to be within 30 minutes of their workplace, whether that's achieved through access to mass transit or a smooth highway commute."
ORRA Past President Dean Asher, Don Asher & Associates, also took the stage to describe the complex relationships between a region's viable transportation, opportunities for economic development, and housing market. He participated on a panel of experts that was moderated by ORRA EVP Michael Kidd.
ORRA's sponsorship of the event reflects the REALTOR® perspective that transportation has a direct impact on real estate. "REALTORS'®

Szerencses. "A transportation plan that
anticipates the need to relieve traffic congestion contributes to stable and
vibrant neighborhoods, and most certainly contributes to an area’s economic
