Want to make an impact on the future of your association and your profession? Help chart ORRA’s direction by sharing your time, talents, and expertise as a volunteer on an ORRA committee.
Read the committee descriptions to see what interests you. Then, complete and submit the online committee request form. The deadline to submit committee request forms is November 22, 2013.
ORRA Audit Committee assists the board of directors in overseeing ORRA’s financial statements, legal and regulatory compliance, and auditing process.
ORRA Budget and Finance Committee provides oversight of financial and budgetary aspects of ORRA’s operations.
ORRA Communications Committee oversees the communications efforts of the association.
ORRA Community Relations Committee encourages REALTORS® to perform community service and organizes community service activities and events.
ORRA Governmental Affairs Committee tracks regulations that affect the real estate industry, participates in public meetings, and communicates with governmental officials.
ORRA Grievance Committee* receives ethics complaints and arbitration requests and determines whether or not hearings are warranted.
ORRA Investment Committee is responsible for the association’s activities related to investing and asset allocation.
ORRA Professional Standards Committee* conducts hearings on alleged unethical conduct by ORRA members or in arbitration of business disputes.
ORRA Brokers Council provides brokers with informative presentations and provides networking opportunities for brokers.
Global Real Estate Council of Orlando presents information and networking opportunities to increase members’ international real estate transactions.
Orlando Regional Commercial Council provides continuing education and networking forums to enhance REALTOR® success in commercial business.
Young Professionals Network, Orlando Chapter helps young real estate professionals excel in their careers by providing tools and encouragement via mentors, networking events, and community service projects.
ORRA Affiliates Forum plans social and networking programs.
ORRA Professional Development Forum seeks to improve REALTOR® professionalism and productivity via educational programming suitable for all segments of the ORRA membership.
ORRA Market Diversity Subcommittee develops policy and programming to promote diversity within the real estate industry and ORRA’s membership.
ORRA Property Management Subcommittee meets to discuss market trends and hosts presentations by property management experts.
ORRA Risk Management Subcommittee aims to reduce members’ legal liability and business risks by providing risk-related information.
REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Subcommittee oversees political fundraising.
ORRA Task Forces
ORRA Awards Task Force organizes, plans, and implements ORRA’s yearly awards program.
ORRA Bylaws and Policy Task Force reviews ORRA’s governing documents to ensure they remain current to Florida Real Estate Commission, Florida REALTORS®, and National Association of REALTORS® rules.
ORRA Florida REALTORS®/NAR Task Force recruits and supports ORRA members seeking election to Florida REALTORS® and National Association of REALTORS® leadership positions.
ORRA Membership Task Force provides guidance regarding ORRA’s membership policies, represents the
needs of the general membership, and addresses development issues.
*Those selected for the ORRA Grievance Committee and the ORRA Professional Standards Committee must attend a mandatory training session on Wednesday, January 29. Sign-up opportunities for these committees will close after the training date.
