Tech Tip - Virus Prevention
Friday, September 7, 2012
Use an antivirus software and update it regularly. Antivirus software (paid is better than free) is designed to safeguard your PC from harm-causing computer viruses, which can delete files, secretly modify data, and lead to a full-on crash.
Be sure to update your antivirus software with the latest patch and signature files for maximum security, and be sure to configure your antivirus to do regular scans of your computer drives at least once in a week when your computer is idle. Also, set up real-time scanning so that incoming (e-mail, Internet, etc.,) viruses are caught ASAP.
