Learn to identify your potential for risks
and implement a risk management plan
Property managers have risks relating to property owners, tenants, employees, and vendors. The main objectives of this course will be to plan the business structure, outline company policies, understand the importance of a personnel handbook, develop effective job descriptions, list best hiring and selection practices, plan overall training and retention, and identify how and when to terminate.
The risk management essentials covered by the instructor include:
- Identifying risk relating to property owners and relating to tenants
- Exposure regarding employment, Fair Credit Act, and Fair Housing
- Outline of negligent service causing risk to the company
- Policies controlling property risks
Fred Thompson, started his real estate career specializing in Residential Property Management in 1988. After working for a broker he decided to go independent with RE/MAX 200 Realty in 1998 and started the RE/MAX 200 Realty Property Management Division. Fred currently manages over 400 single-family homes which are located in North East & South East Orlando, Orange & Seminole County.
