Learn how to grow your business with Chinese Buyers/Investors in Florida.

Fun Stats:

  • Chinese buyers have leapfrogged Canadians in recent years to become the biggest foreign spenders on U.S. real estate, purchasing $22 billion worth for the 12-month period ending March 2014, according to the National Association of Realtors. That's up more than 70 percent from the year before.
  • According to, Florida is already the fourth most popular state in the country for home buyers from China. Only California, New York, and Michigan received more interest. Chinese buyers have the highest average transaction price of all foreign buyers, spending $590,826 - more than double the national average of $247,417 for all buyers.


Caroline Wei-Berk, Ph.D. J.D.
Caroline grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. She came to the U.S. for graduate studies in Chemistry. After she got her Ph.D., she went to work for a couple of multinationals as a Project Leader in materials research and development. She then went to Ohio State University Law School, got her J.D. then joined The Proctor and Gamble Company as an Intellectual Property (IP) counsel. She worked with P&G's global research and business teams. Caroline was responsible for the strategy and management of global IP portfolios and legal/business issues relating to consumer products, such as Pampers, Tide, etc. Caroline is now in private practice in Tampa, assisting clients with her extensive experiences in IP and business transactions. Caroline currently serves on the Boards of several local and national organizations. She frequently gives speeches at local universities and organizations on various subjects, such as IP for small to mid-size enterprises, doing business with Chinese people, etc. Her hobbies include real estate and feng shui.
