REALTORS® who hire a personal assistant need to understand how that person can and cannot help them according to the law. Unsure about the differences between a licensed assistant and a non-licensed assistant? This course will explain the policies surrounding employing an assistant.
At course completion, you'll understand:
- The duties a non-licensed personal assistant
and a licensed personal assistant may perform
- How to interview candidates and determine the
right person to hire
- What questions to ask in an interview
- How to assemble a policy manual and checklist
which will aid in the training
- Alternative methods of paying employees and
what taxes they can be held responsible for

She came to Orlando in August 1983 and has been lincensed in real estate for more than 30 years. She is the broker/owner of Beverly Pindling Real Estate Services, has been a licensed real estate instructor for 18 years and is one of IFREC's top instructors. Beverly is a past president of ORRA, recipient of ORRA's "REALTOR® of the Year" award and named "Educator of the Year" in 2012 by Florida REALTORS®.
