Have you ever called a vendor to come to a home just to find out you could have fixed it yourself?

Your tenant calls you in a panic about a puddle of water by the A/C unit. What do you do? Do you ask probing questions to find out if it’s a leak or if the drain pipe clogged? Do you immediately place a service call to your A/C vendor?

This workshop will help you understand what you need to know before calling vendors and how you can save yourself time and your homeowner’s dime. These program presenters will help guide you through the "Do’s and Don’ts” of property maintenance and answer these and other questions during this program:

  •  What are the most common maintenance issues that property managers face?
  • What questions should the property manager ask the tenant before calling a professional?
  • Risk management for the selection of vendors - what documentation should vendors provide?
  • What maintenance forms should a property manager use?
  • What are vendor list packets for tenants?
  • What should the property manager know about the homeowner’s insurance policy?

Questions from the floor are welcome!
