Michael Kidd Executive Vice President Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association
Michael Kidd is noted as a Real Estate Finance and Capital Markets Policy specialist, and has represented real estate interests and issues before the US Congress, the White House, and Federal Agencies for over twenty years. He is currently serving as executive vice president of the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association, one of the largest trades associations in Florida, with more than 8,000 members.
Prior to joining ORRA in 2010, Kidd served in leadership roles at several national associations. As executive director of the Self Storage Association (SSA), he directed all affairs of 34 state association affiliates and 4 international affiliates and integrated the communications systems of affiliate operations with the national headquarters. Prior to that, he served as vice president of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), where he was responsible for all aspects of NAIOP’s public relations and communications departments, its public policy activities, and its political action committee, the American Development Political Action Committee (ADPAC).
Kidd began his career managing a $200 million commercial real estate loan portfolio for First American BankShares. After gaining extensive experience in the commercial real estate arena, he became director of commercial finance at the National Association of REALTORS®. While at NAR, Kidd directed NAR’s banking and finance division and related legislative and regulatory affairs.
Mr. Kidd has contributed to textbooks on political campaign management and has been published in many leading journals including Executive Update, Association Management, National Real Estate Investor, Real Estate Today, Development Magazine, the Journal of Real Estate Finance, and the Journal of Association Leadership.
When not actively engaged in policy and commerce, Michael can be found passionately nurturing a life long love affair with the classical guitar and has composed scores, recorded and played guitar for numerous projects and national acts. |
